Clovalyn Wilson

Clovalyn has lived in the Village of Malton for 35 years. Her passion in life is to empower individuals with the resources to meet their goals and live to their fullest potential. It is that passion that has motivated her to dedicate many hours collaborating on opportunities that benefit family, work and community building.

Clovalyn is currently serving as President of the Malton Black Development Association (MBDA). Here she uses her background in education and civic engagement to help newcomers navigate the school system and encourage youth to pursue higher education. Through MBDA, she helps families to bridge the systemic and financial gaps to education. To date MBDA has awarded over a 100 students with scholarships towards their field of study. In addition to a focus on education, the MBDA works to enrich community life. Recent events include, youth and community art galleries, family workshops, youth mentoring sessions, STEM camps, sports camps and heritage programs.

Clovalyn looks forward to a community that works together, plans together and achieves together.
