Hi my name is Kwadwo, I am the MBDA’s Youth Director for the 2025-2026 year. I was brought up in the Malton community from primary through secondary education; attending Holy Cross Catholic School followed by Ascension of Our Lord Secondary School.
I undertook my undergraduate studies at Carleton University, where I graduated with a Honors Bachelors in Psychology.
Upon completion of studies I left for Ghana to reconnect with my heritage and witness the nation’s growth. I learned a lot about the value of relationships over there, and now visit more frequently.
I returned to attend George Brown College to Study Behavioural Science. During my time at George Brown I made sure to keep a promise to myself I made during undergrad to volunteer more!
Time is the most precious resource one may give, and giving it for the sake of community is a worthwhile venture. I began volunteering with the YAY’s peer mentorship program. I got to experience being a mentor and being a part of my community.
During 2020 and the mass Anti-Police and Anti-Black protests swept through the USA to the rest of the world.
That was the last major event before I found myself involved in my community through MBDA.
